I live on the North Wales coast, right by several beaches-perfect for beachcombing and finding treasures!
I have made this pendant from a piece of sea glass, which I clean and polish before I hand wrap the wire around it and attach it to a silver chain.
This is a completely unique piece of jewellery, each piece of sea glass is a different shape, resulting in different patterns in the wire that I wrap around it.
The sea glass shown in the photographs is a greenish colour-sometimes looking a little turquoise in the light, each piece measures approximately an inch.
The wire is silver coated copper wire, manipulated by hand with use of jewellery pliers. While the finished piece is just as beautiful as more expensive jewellery, the sea glass itself is hardy and durable, but the wire wrapping must be treated delicately.
The necklace is silver and 20 inches in length with a lobster clasp fastening, also in silver.
A gift from nature, given up by the sea-perfect as a gift for a loved one, or a treat for yourself!
